The Radius Disc Sander Kit

Description

The Radius Disc Sander Kit is designed to fit 10” Drill Press or larger. This is determined by the distance from the column to the center of the 5/8” Chuck.

Provides ability to handle various procedures like:

• Creating Compensated Nuts allowing for a precise fit for the various guitar scale lengths and fingerboard radius requirements.
• Creating a very shallow radius on the “foot” of the acoustic guitar bridge, in preparation for gluing on ( new guitar builds ) bridges or re-gluing, in the case of bridge repair or replacement.

It is a quick and easy solution to the many challenges when sanding very small and delicate pieces of wood, bone, brass or other materials. The control is greatly enhanced by the included foot controller that allows the sander to be turned on/off intermittently, in short intervals; or run continuously. The sanding strip on the outside diameter of the disc, provides a 4 1/2” radius ( 9” diameter ) that quickly produces the necessary radius to match all common guitar fingerboards, from the 7 1/ 2” ( original Fender radius ) to any of the other uncommon fingerboard curvatures.
