The current models are much lighter compared to the discontinued TechDeck Elite (71 lbs. with the case). The TechDeck GPS workstation is 32 lbs and TechDeck XLT workstation is only 28 lbs. Both models feature a compact design integrated into a traveling case.

The TechDeck supports a variety of stringed instruments.

Bowing – Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass.

Plucking – Ukulele, Bazooki, Mandolin, Acoustic, Electric and Bass guitars, Sitars, Pipa  and other oriental Instrument types.

You cannot use the Techdeck to support frame based string instruments – Grand Piano, Upright Piano, Cymbalom, Harp etc.

However the TechDeck GPS model is stable enough to support a full sized Upright Bass, while levelling a fingerboard.
