The CEO and owner Michael McConville entered the guitar repair scene in the late 1960’s and through the years established the renowned McConville Guitar Repair Shop. Like any trade or craft, stringed instruments take hands-on experience to develop skills to a level of excellence.

StringTech Workstations was formed in 2012 with a mission to address the need of Luthiers, Hobbyists and Guitar Repair Technicians by providing tools necessary to improve their work efficiency.
The StringTech GPS and the XLT TechDeck is the 7th Generation of the StringTech Workstations. It all started in my Brunswick St. shop, here in Stratford Ontario many years ago. The first few small production runs were made for my Guitar Repair and Design students. Then slowly by word of mouth … the word got out … and we started shipping to the open market
